So here's why I believe this video is so misplaced.....especially by a black African! Firstly, what you are depicting here, is the lifestyle of the minority elitists. By comparison, to the rest of SA and Africa, elitists constitute about 1 per cent as you very briefly pointed out. What you show here, are tiny pockets of opulence surrounded by natural beauty and neat suburban environments - as though this reflects the norm. When you compare this to the rest of SA, it is a mere blip - a pinpoint on the map of reality. Secondly, a fair amount of the money comes from looted state coffers and dirty dealings, where corrupt politicians, their Cadre buddies, opportunistic tenderpreneurs....and blind-eyed corporate leeches feed. In the 30 years of ANC rule, South Africa has had trillions and trillions of Rands looted from its fiscus. Departmental budgets have been plundered and State state-owned enterprises (SOEs) stripped bare through Cadre looting and under-the-rug corporate dealings. The list goes on and on. Thirdly, the South African tax base, the middle-class income earners, are the ones bearing the brunt of the South African tax burden while elitists, living in the lap of luxury and unashamedly flaunting their wealth, are heavily engaged in tax avoidance activities and are keeping their money in off-shore safe-havens. It's a shameless disgrace when people pay so much attention to the social and moral sickness of the wealthy, aspiring to become one of them and live similar lifestyles when South Africa and Africa are awash with poverty and social and moral anarchy. I would rather pay homage to elitists who, through having acknowledged the privilege of possessing such obscene wealth, have elected to use their wealth to help suppress criminal elements that are creating and feeding an environment of criminality, as opposed to simply hoarding their wealth and flaunting it. The owners and promoters of this channel would do better to highlight this reality and the plight of their brethren stricken by the antics of the wealthy elitists, rather than worship and idolise money, elevating self-centred and greedy elitists to a place, on a continent and in a country where their lifestyles are so very, very badly misplaced.

Whether Akon is a scammer or not, he is not the only one in Senegal. Maison des Esclaves, or the House of Slaves, was built in 1780-1784 by Nicolas Pépin. Although it is the home of the infamous "Door of No Return", which is said to be the last place exported slaves touched African soil for the rest of their lives, there is little evidence at Maison des Esclaves to suggest a "large-scale trans-Atlantic slave trade" economy. According to census records obtained from the 18th century, the majority of enslaved population fell under the category of domestic slaves, rather than slaves to be exported. Pépin and his heiress may have had domestic slaves, but again there is little archaeological evidence that they were involved in any slave exportation business. Despite this lack of evidence, Maison des Esclaves has become a pilgrimage site to commemorate forcible removal of Africans from their homeland, also known as the African diaspora. This contrasts with the role of the site of Rue des Dongeons on Gorée. At Rue des Dongeons, as the name suggests, there is a presence of dungeons, which can clearly be associated with the confinement of the slaves to be exported. Historian Ana Lucia Araujo has said "it’s not a real place from where real people left in the numbers they say."

I ran into him in club vision. Pontiac Michigan...Akon is great singer especially in the early 2000s he collaborate with anyone he make it a hit !!! But i honestly think he miscalculated the cost !!!! After inflation he has to spend way more to build Akon city!!! Hope his dreams comes to life. He needs to do a few new hit albums. And with the help of saudi billionaires he can do it!!!!!

Africans with Oyinbos have better and higher standards of living and that’s a facts. Why are millions of Africans risking their lives crossing the deadly Sahara and the Mediterranean? Not be emotional just admit the truth by looking at the empirical evidence.

There are two mauritius: the one you see from a tourist perspective and the one you get to know by living in the country for a long period of time. When you come as a tourist it is beautiful, people are nice and it seems like one of the best countries in the world. Nevertheless try to settle there and you will face a different reality. I lived for a while in Mauritius. I am a black african and I was so shocked seeing the racisme in that beautiful country against the black people. Even when I was in a library, I could feel how curious people were seeing a black young man in a library. Mauritius is a big scam. they pretend to be a great democracy but it is a kind of monarchy where social groups keep reproducing. Most of the black I see there, talking of the natives citizens, are just laborers in factories or occupying minimum wages jobs, You will rarely see a black person working white collar jobs. Young black people suffer discrimination even in the educational system so that they cannot reach higher level of education, they are ibliged to drop-off from school and the system keeps going on, they drop off from scholl to become laborers in factories etc... I also noticed that some are condescending when they see you are black. However I was happy to see that in the public services, they try to treat well. I went to the police stations and the policemen showed courtesy. It is not a violent racism, it is something very suble that you only botice when you live in the society. Black mauritians you need to wake up so as to influence fairest public policies in your favour.

I am commenting on this because of the part where she said "some Nigerian workers are not stable" with my knowledge in the furniture business is that ,workers only leave when the salary is not enough.the truth is that Nigerian entrepreneur should learn how to pay their workers very well, I know it's not easy for business in this country , but we should do better
